Some of that shyt outta line but some of it sounds like :duck:

I don’t understand how people find it hard to keep it surface level at work

Cause most people spend more time with the people they work with than their own families.
And communication norms vary, atmospheres vary, upbringings vary.
Just think about how growing up the people you were around for 8 hrs a day and how you interacted with them. Folks walking up and hugging eachother, inside jokes, saying inappropriate things cause you feel very comfortable around people.
I feel like I can guarantee that if work days were shortened or hybrid or WFH was the normal common place thing a lot of the work place issues would go away and not just cause folks aren't at work as long but cause the less time you have the less connection you build or feel like you build.

breaking news....people say disrespectful things to co workers in the workplace. Some places are more toxic than others. Women nowadays need to grow up, men often have to deal with way worse and nobody cares.

Let me go cry in the corner cause at one job we had to tuck our shirts in, and the Haitian ladies had a nickname that meant Mr. Big dikk in creole. They would say this when I walked past and for the longest never knew what it meant. And yes, they would "accidently" rub up against me for cheap feels.

Let me go cry cause I had a job working at a resort and the girls used to like playing with my dikk as they talked to me, sometimes trying to play wrestle. I had a girl I was living with. It was very disrespectful and uncomfortable. Boo hoo hoo.

Don't get me started on the physical confrontations I had to endure from 5 foot Minnie me's who turn into bar brawling stone cold killers when they clock in, then run to hr when they confronted off the clock. I've lost jobs over that exact scenario. Boo hoo hoo, woe is me.

I'm not gonna lie. Part of me agrees with this one when certain women open their mouths on certain issues. I worked with an unattractive woman who was constantly complaining about eveything under the sun about male society, some of it made sense, most of it didn't. All I could think in my head when she spoke was "You talk alot about men for someone who can't attract them". Eventually, I told her "please don't speak to me unless it is work related".

The woman in question is a white, socially awkward, mid 40's cat lady with no ass, no t*ts, and no romantic partner. I’m pretty sure she’s a femcel.

Funny shyt is, as a man, ive dealt with intense levels of harassment, disrespect, intimidation tactics, and flat out hate, at every job ive ever held....And you know what?

Its par for the course as far as life is concerned...

My point is, these examples arent based on sex, there based on being in contact with a$$holes, which women do not have a monopoly on...

This shyt is disgusting.

It's even worse for black women. Every day it's a new comment about their hair

Ewwww at the amount of a$$holes in this thread AGREEING with this shyt. Only when it happens to your mother, sister or your girl will you understand why these comments are disgusting. For now, stay in your circle of stupidity and delusion.

It's not about whether or not the interactions are appropriate. I think what's being questioned (at least for some of the incidents) is whether or not they are misogyny/sexism.

Men are stupid. I use to work at an all male sandwich shop. It wasn’t that way by design but these nuts scared every girl away. You have to have thick skin around guys. I’ve been asked how I thought we were going to make tips all covered up, how come I thought it was acceptable to show up makeup less, did I know ( that day ) I favored Celie from the Color Purple ( I didn’t /don’t) e.t.c. I took it all BUT I also gave it back. Sorry for those ladies but I can get down with the boys.

Yes :dahell: women be minding their business and a creep will still find a reason to get out of pocket. This is way more common than you think.
And there's a reason why they feel bold enough. That overly friendliness makes them comfortable
