Kid, shut the fukk up.
shyt stains like you have a significant role to play in the alt-right getting people to listen and it is your refusal to acknowledge people's legitimate concerns.
You'll refuse to accept the reality that it is an effective tool for the bitter to tarnish someone's reputation after a relationship has ended, knowing full well that you'd see the obvious risk of harm if it was a platform for men to spill the tea on their former partners.
You are a delusional shyt stain.
Yeah, you're still mad from the last thread.
Seriously, though, the irony here is wild. You claim people like me are responsible for the alt-right gaining traction because I "refuse to acknowledge legitimate concerns." But here's the thing: I do acknowledge the concern about reputational harm. This app definitely raises privacy questions, especially in a world where false accusations or revenge-driven attacks can ruin someone's name. No question, that's a real issue. But I'm not going to pretend that mass doxxing and coordinated attacks like this by people know for spreading nothing but racism, hate and misogyny, is somehow a reasonable or proportionate response.
And you don't realize how stupid you sound talking about "legitimate concerns" while defending the weaponization of leaked data. You think that's accountability? No, that's retribution. And it's being driven by people who don't actually care about fairness.
Your hypothetical is hilarious too, because those places already exist -- you're running interference for one right now. And there are entire boards/discords/ telegraph channels dedicated to red-pill, mgtow, and so on.
What a lot of you seem to be missing is intent and scale. This app was structured, at least nominally, around community safety and shared dating experiences -- and that is definitely crucial for women given the disproportionate risks they face in online dating. Could it be abused? Of course. So can Yelp. So can RateMyProfessor. The solution is moderation and transparency, not blowing the whole thing up and then celebrating like it's righteous.
I can see why your pathetic, miserable ass is all over this though, given how you were defending Iran's backward theocracy giving a woman a 10 year prison sentence for performance art.
Good.
She is the most extreme example but we need to stop playing dumb to the negative impact the build-a-thots are having on young minds.
They depict an unrealistic example of beauty which is causing more and more women to mutilate themselves.
