Breh, I don't know what you want me to say - I've given you insight into how I qualify things. I can find something explainable without finding it justifiable.

I don't generally believe in "guilty by association" in this specific context either. I've seen too much fukkery and a lot of weirdo behavior on TheColi that I wouldn't engage in personally. Yet, I'm still a poster here and sure would hope most people don't apply "guilty by association" to people for simply sharing/using a platform - the same way people don't assume you're a doctor by association just because you hang around hospitals or have doctor friends.

For all I know, some of the people doxxed/with leaked personal details were just there to read salacious stories/for entertainment - to me that doesn't merit doxxing.

Anecdotally, a lot of the women I know don't necessarily have hobbies like most of the brehs I know. Hence why a significant number of them consume celeb gossip, reality tv, fanfiction and all these bird babble adjacent things.

Just because some people got used to it doesn't make it funny. There are more than enough ways to say you think they're attractive without all the extra performative babble. Telling someone how their actions can spark reactions, that albeit not justifiable, are correlated to the aforementioned actions - exists in direct opposition to "breeding the environment we see now". It allows for preventative change all the while not making doxxing acceptable/cool for both the women in the app and the dudes that hacked it.

Coli doesn't exist in a vacuum. You are free to do whatever - the same way you said the coli audience knows what you mean, is the same way I said we know what the cac meant by DEI hires - he most def was not speaking about white women or white LGBT men, and I posted the picture to illustrate he was demonstrably wrong

people can say "he's right in this case because" and try to qualify it, but ultimately the crux of the matter is that they're saying the dogwhistle is right. A dogwhistle that is increasingly used to discredit or question the ability/qualifications of black folk

a whole app dedicated to trading unverified "war stories" and potentially infringing on the privacy of the subjects of said stories, as well as possibly libellous - is cool though because "it's for women, and allows them to make smart decisions"

Eh, I'm no authority on comedy. I do know the intended purpose of that thread title and of the examples you've used are comedic. Are people outside of the coli expected to "get it"? I don't think that would be a fair expectation, but that wasn't the anchor in my post. If a thread like that is cause for outrage, then even if we're unable to cross verify people's reactions to each instance, you'd still expect a base level of consistency in which an app like this "Tea" one raises eyebrows.

in the thread in question brehs largely post pictures available on public social media profiles, usually by means of embedding. no personal information, no ducktales about previous romantic thrusts etc - just "here's an attractive woman". Could the thread be re-titled with a less abrasive title? Sure, but spaces like the coli, LSA, twitter will always develop exaggerated animated cultures (at least that's what I've observed thus far)
