Its a documentary Henry Louis Gates did on some not well know African kingdoms. He also discuss the role Africans played in the Trans Atlantic, as well as eastern slave trade. A lot of Black Americans, and Africans got vexed due to his discussion of slavery in the documentary.

Great programs for what its worth. At least he dedicated an episode to Ethiopia.

Edit: Shoulda talked more about Islam's early relationship with Ethiopia and went more in depth on the Beta Israel. Woulda presented a more well rounded African Holy Land.
