Man arrested in Orange County apartment complex robbery

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. —A man was arrested in connection with a violent robbery at an Orange County apartment complex.

Charles Ford is charged after a 22-year-old man was beaten and robbed Tuesday night at Lake Sherwood Apartments on Apopka Vineland Road and Balboa Drive.

A SWAT team found guns inside the apartment. Eleven people were removed, including two women and a 4-year-old child.

Deputies said the victim knew the suspect. The victim was beaten so severely, he will require surgery.

Investigators believe the crime is gang-related.
