Yeah...it's not an accident that homie is lurking behind Hanks looking like he's crazed off of a heroic dose of meth or bath salts or some shyt...that very specific pose was chosen for very specific reasons...and no doubt one of those reasons was to accentuate a "good, cultured white man attacked by wild negro savages" theme for the movie, coded by that image (the intention likely wasn't strictly racist...but just using racist cues to maximize the sense of otherness and exoticness and danger)...the somali seizures of commercial ships in that region is a lot more nuanced than "CRAZY N!GGERS ARE ATTACKING GOOD NATURED INNOCENT WHITE FOLKS "...and there's a conversation about this to be had more nuanced than "OMG! YOU DUMB FOOLS THINK EVERYTHING IS RACIST"...but we're in this weird place now where conversations about race in the context of historical racism, are somehow inherently racist themselves....so what can do you

The Mineapolis area has the largest population of Somali immagrants in the US. I never knew that til my lil sis moved up there.
Also for some reason all of the Hmong people immagrate there too. You have an idea that it's lilly white up there but there are whole African and Asian sections of the city, it's pretty cool.
