I always wondered about that

Yeah you save money on Gas, Lunch, Commute Time, Work shoes, etc

But how is your Electricity, Water, Gas, Heating bills? :patrice:

I assume the prices are more if you're running your A/C or Heater more, cooking more, opening and closing the refrigerator, Wifi router on the whole day etc

You might see a slight increase in your heating or A/C bill but that is easily offset by the money you save on gas, dry cleaning, food and wear & tear on your car.

I'm interested to see how this plays out over the next few months because people do not want to go back into the office :mjlol:

Not for me. I only run the heat when it's freezing cold. I don't seem to be paying more.

If you stay in a place long enough and have good standing in terms of payment they usually offer you a set monthly rate after a few years. I crank the gas and electricity and I've been working from the nest before covid.

The World, but from BK
No idea, I moved in a year ago and have been working from home for 2 years. But moving from apt to home, I went from not paying for heat to paying a lot for heat. I realized a reason is cause the old thermostat that came with the house had its own mind. Once we got a Google nest shyt worked more efficiently. We dont go above 68 unless we have company. But I said fuk all this old shyt and am working on getting ductless mini split cooling and heating for the house. It should be completed by late April or May. Thinking about going solar maybe 3 years down the line...unless we have another kid.

I haven't noticed tbh. If I'm actually paying more it can't be more than $50/month.

The one thing I haven't done is bought gas since the whole Ukraine thing started.

My water bill actually went down. I'm washing clothes less because I no longer have to wash at the end of the week. Majority of my clothes are t shirts and shorts and I have endless of those.

Before I would shower in the morning and then as soon as I got back from work. Now I only shower in the morning.

Electricity has risen, but it's by such a small amount it's easily offset by the amount of gas saved.
