I work in IT, we have weekly stand ups with our managers where we talk about projects and other bullshyt we are working on. TRUST ME, you dont wanna be the clown who is like.... "uhhh Im chilling this week

You will be a prime candidate to get cut whenever they decide they want to do a lay off.
That's why I say, work smart, not hard, lie, lie, lie, look busy in the public eye and hide. Smile and keep convo vague and keep sentences to a minimum. Never over explain yourself or give wypipo the benefit of a doubt that you have free time. A simple sentence such as, "I'm on it". Goes a long way, never discuss politics or religion. Think of 1 idea a week to help the production of the company in case a cac is curious about your opinion (in other words, "prejudice"), smile, and keep it moving. You'll always leave a good impression.
Dangle a diversion such as let them believe you're a hard worker expecting to grow within the company but plot in silence to look elsewhere or other business moves. Network, network, network, knowing people with good careers is the cacs blind spot to have a backup. Be sociopaths to wypipo outside of work. They may accept you as the Ben Carson type friend and get you in or use them as a reference.
One of the best loopholes to get out of extra projects is class, charity or kids.
