Working at a job that you hate with every fiber of your being

Thats where I'm at right now on life. Doing a job that could easily be done by a machine. Doing the same repetitive tasks nine hours a day six days a week. Feels like one of those punishments from ancient cac Greek mythology. Yet people at my company stay for 20, 30, 40 years. I just want to stop showing up. But I'm tired of walking out of jobs I hate. The economy nowadays is hella better than it was when I graduated from college back in 09'. I never used my degree in graphic design. I have a non-existent portfolio because my old computer melted down a couple years ago. I descended into alcoholic dereliction for a few years before getting back on the right track. How do you a job day in day out that you fukking hate with a passion?

I can’t say I have a job I hate, just times when what I’m doing doesn’t satisfy my soul. I could be in a group where it’s clear where the weakest link lies but due to multiple factors I might not change my situation. It’s damning in a sense but I try to at least be aware of the issue and not let it bother me considering my lack of maneuverability in and out of the situation might be low. but I’m a creative personality so most of my endeavors are personal and therefore up to my decision whether or not I pursue them...

I can simply “quit” and start over as long as I’m able to manage relationships properly.

Which I think is the key when anyone is unhappy and “stuck” in a situation.

Forreal breh, I think the reason people stay at my company so long is because they literally have no transferable skills. How you gone go into a job interview and be like "yeah, I placed ruberbands around pistons and screwed bolts into metal fixtures for five years." I'm not talking skilled trades but shyt you can learn in five minutes and this is shyt that people do for 50 hours a week until they're literally old and gray and physically unable to screw in bolts anymore.

But moms and some of my homies acting like this job is the golden ticket. They just wanna see a player flourish. The money is decent, but not worth my dignity and sanity.

a lot of people get off to a slow start.

try to dedicate 1-2 hours a day to transitioning to your dream career. work on your portfolio. try to land a client. offer your services to charities to fill up your CV. do online freelance work. perhaps even teach a course at some recreational center. just book a room and offer the class for a small fee or even free on the weekends. make an online course. teaching will make u seem like an expert and potentially land some clients. there's a lot of things u can do if u use your imagination

also, do u still have the old computer? even after mines stopped working i just took the hard drive out & got my info off of it.

I work for myself tho.

The freedom/money/power helps me overlook the things I dont like.

I knew from a teenager that I had to start my own shyt or else I'd be depressed & hating my life.

Nobody enjoys working.... But we need the money.

At the end of the day.... Youre gonna have to work. You cant avoid it.

Whether its for some white man or yourself..... Youre gonna have to put in work. Alot of it.

And it wont be fun.

But money & freedom helps.

Become your own boss.

I've had jobs like that before and always bounce when I see the future 40+ year old man waiting for check to hit to pay bills get cigs weed gas and food as fuel to get ABUSED for another two weeks . I think the worst one was ..I shyt u not cutting bubble wrap and putting stickers on envelopes warehouse work is a close second I guess auto has given me a skill but it's still BULLshyt I'm not gonna let my fitness cert go to waste
