Swing shift was wild. I did it at a factory in the summers while in college. Going from 8-4 to midnight-8am in two weeks was sum shyt i never got used to.
Is it really that bad? Was their any benefits?

I have a job offer for a job that does swing shifts.
2 days on, 2 days off, 4am-4pm
I have my own business but work 2nd shift which turned my business into more of a side hustle/hobby.

Reason I’m considering taking the job is because I need a full day off during the week to tend to my business, instead of trying to cram everything into Saturday before 12.

My first job was at Waffle House as a grill operator at 16. It was cool during the school year cause I could go in after school and work a few hours. Them fools moves my to the overnight shift when the summer hit. I worked enough to get a full check and no call no showed on them fools lol. That made me hate that shirt and I haven’t had to work it at all since I started my career. I have filled in for people off and on though and I hated it

I’ll say this. If u can avoid it, u should. Did it for a number of years. Now I can’t sleep without the aid of pills. Benedryl, advil pm. Xanax is great for this but u can’t take it nightly. In fact, u shouldn’t be taking the others nightly either but one can only toss and turn for so long before saying fucck it. And no, melatonin doesn’t work for me.

Same. I've even tried extra strength melatonin and nothing.
