I worked the graveyard shift at a warehouse when I was like 26. It was the depths of the Great Recession in 2009, so young folks was assed out in terms of getting jobs. I was fresh outta college but still drinking like I was in college, so it was a good fit at the time. All my co-workers were young and black and we all smoked weed and drank and was hella cool with each other like family. It was like the club in there because my Jamaican coworker brought in a big ass speaker and had all the tunes on deck. :salute:Our main boss was a fake ass Puff Daddy looking/dressing ass nikka. We’d joke that it was like Making the Band when he came around and we were afraid we’re about to get eliminated from the show. :takedat:But the main boss was only around a few days a month and our supervisor was a hood white bytch from Baltimore with a black baby daddy/boyfriend. I used to get drunk on the clock but by the time the shift was over, I sobered up completely.

I worked four ten hour days 7pm to 5am. Weekends were hella lit. The four day workweek is the goat work schedule of all time. :blessed:I spent drinking all night in the city at lounges and clubs getting at women or having mini get togethers with my crew with plenty of smoke and drank. I been sober 6 years now, but that was the most fun job I had in my drinking days. Because work didn’t consume my life and I genuinely liked all my coworkers. I switched over to the day shift after three months and it was dry. A bunch of grouchy ass fat old heads listening to oldies all day, not being friendly.:hhh: No smoke sessions in the car every couple hours with folks my age. Plus dealing with the morning hangovers at work on Monday, :sadcam:unlike the nightshift where I would be recuperated every night at 7. Couldn’t imagine working the graveyard shift being sober in my thirties though. :gucci:
