I tell ppl all the time if you want an easy overnight job with not much responsibility just apply to a hotel as a night auditor

Your main responsibility is the audit which takes 30 minutes to an hour. Once 2 am hits hotel is dead and you knock out till 6

It ain’t for the weak. Been working overnight Fri/sat/Sun since I started nursing school. May or may not continue when I graduate since I have a lot of time during the week to handle shyt. I just can’t wait to have weekends off.

I work overnight on the weekends and have a full time career at a global company during the day.


I actually love working overnight but then again all my overnight experience is in hospitality which is probably why I like it.

My step dad runs an Adult video store to this day which used to operate 24/7. Back before streaming online got popular in the 2000s you could imagine the fukkery he dealt with.


I used to bartend from 7pm - 2am but of course that’s not overnight like most of y’all but it was a nice sense of clarity getting off work dead in the night especially when I would smoke after my shift.

I’ve been at it for 4 to 5 years. We definitely built different, average person couldn’t do this shyt. I always grew up seeing my pops work overnight and peeped how he’d come home to little traffic on the roads and in stores. Go to the mall and be the only person in line and get in and out. I always wanted that for myself

During the beginning of the pandemic, I was laid off at my job and found a job at a warehouse. Worked there for a few weeks, before they hit me with the we need an engineer in the facility for the overnight shift for a few weeks. shyt was from 6pm to 3am. Wouldn’t get outta there until 4 am most nights. After a few weeks, they hit me with the “you did such a good job, and our overall production improved, we wanna try you on there for a few more weeks.”

I remember I just walked outta there one evening around midnight, and hit up a bar. I didn’t return. I couldn’t do it.

I knew doorman who get $1,000 in just tips per week.


My friend whose a bellboy at the trump hotel got $1,000 every week in just tips and he bet all type of celebrities and bird man is a regular customer there.


It all depends where you work. Doorman in luxury buildings never leave their jobs. That’s why it’s hard to get them in NYC

I love the night shift

I work for Homeland Security. Get to chill in federal buildings at night, by myself, catching up on my Netflix que, working out in our full size gym, and getting paid GREAT money to do it Don’t have to deal with the a$$hole public, a$$hole management, and I work solo dolo, which lessens my risk of contracting Covid. Win, win
