Chile extends curfew for second night after new clashes
Chile has crazy income inequality from what I understand and gov corruption. I forget what city in Chile it is, but there is a city that has a higher standard of living than the netherlands and other similar countries but then you drive 40 minutes and it's poor as fukk and dangerous.

There have always and probably always will be protests, so I wouldn't say democracy is on it's last legs. Most of this is just self-correction.
Haiti is the Haitians rising up against their corrupt govt and hopefully kicking out the usa/un
Hong Kong is just the usa doing it's typical colored revolution shyt.
Spain has always had that Catalonia independence movement.
Haven't been keeping up with Iraq and Lebanon.
Think the Chile govt took some imf/world bank deal and then started raising prices/privatizing shyt.

I haven't watched American evening news since I was a child
That said the newspapers have covered all of this. F24, BBC, ALJ all cover it. CNN international used to be pretty good. PBS probably covers some of it.

Your average person doesn't know shyt, they're too busy with their own lives and problems to pay attention to the bigger picture. HL contains people interested in the stuff. Most people are clueless and really just don't care unless it directly effects them.

Hong kong protest is being funded by the US government/NED against China . the US is trying to pass some law that would fuk over both places with sanctions and other policy. research the background of these people whos pushing the protest
while the haitian protest is against the IMF, and US installed right wing government(core group) thats getting funded by the US . The 2004 US proxy UN occupation and its aftermath happen when the US try to do the samething but majority haitian people in Haiti didnt fall for it but alot Haitian Americans did
The US and friends try to do the samething in Venezuela but the majority of people wasnt with it..... So the US hit them with more sanctions
