I feel like strength is easier to hold onto with age than say speed agility and fast twitch muscle, but this is nonetheless impressive.

yeah his got a natural brolic look, doesnt look like he waste time in the gym with six-packs and etc.

thats why arnie won the mr.universe so many times is because of his natural look doesnt look like enhanced unatural. thats why a steady diet of push ups will tone your body down to its natural optimum.

how much weight was he holding up?

Each pillar is 160 kilograms or 352.74 pounds. Not as much as i was thinking and the record is more about the time but i think they should find a way to increase the weight as time goes on and see who really has that Hercules in em.
