Tell me what was the last gaming innovation that nintendo came out with that effects how we play games today. If you say anything other than four controllers connecting to a system (n64) then you mistake gimmicks for innovation. The tablet and motion controls are not innovative they are gimmicks that have run their course. A new smash bros, mario kart, metroid, zelda, etc is not innovative either, they are rehashes no different from the fpss that get released year after year but thats what the people want from Nintendo at this point. Every person on this site that talks about wii u says the same shyt, "im not really playing my system but when (insert nintendo rehash) drops its going down. And the nerve of you to try to act like nikkas are only playing fps shooters out here if they arent fukking with Nintendo. my game list speaks for itself, I play a variety of shyt.

A variety that you wont find on the Wii 2. People want the software, the hardware, not so much. And really even their software is pretty stale.

LOL You hate the big N worse than Courtdog hates Sony. When the gaming industry crashes and smartphones take up the majority share of software sales, then you will understand. What will the PS4 and X-One offer more than better graphics?

Your wrong again, I dont hate nintendo, I can speak on it because i rode with them throughout the years and im not happy with what they have become, LAZY. They have made the same system with marginal upgrades for 3 generations straight. nikkas knew that wii was an updated gamecube, and that wii u is a wii with better graphics that cant surpass the xbox 360 and ps3. At this point of the game nintendo is actually holding innovation in gaming back. Put smash bros or mario kart on the xbox or ps and tell me they wont have better graphic, better multiplayer, better updates, and bug fixes.and personally I dont mind reasonably priced dlcs that enhance a game I have already loved playing. This is what these other systems offer that you cant get on Nintendo.

Honestly, I bought the system for the first party games but now that I'm thinking about it, Nintendo deserves to be punished in a way for this atrocity. No games, vastly inferior hardware, third parties are leaving.

I might be finally jumping on the bandwagon of people who want Nintendo to be solely a software developer.

A much, much better entertainment experience. The same thing both sony and microsoft has been doing for two, soon to be three gens straight
:ld:.

What entertainment? We already have HD, Blu Ray, and wi fi. What else can they go to at this point? None of the people around me are even slightly hyped about gaming anymore, because its just the same games with prettier graphics. Unless the PS4 and X-One can offer actual virtual reality futuristic shyt, it ain't worth buying for the first few years. The lack of innovation will kill any industry. Look at the movie industry pushing out sequels out the ass and the music industry collapsing on itself.

Im sure you can do some research on your own about what forms of entertainment the ps4/x1 offers and the wii doesnt.

There's more variety of great and innovative games that found success, this gen than any other gen, along with the graphics becoming more breathtaking.

Games are truly becoming art.

Your acting like nintendo are the only developers making great games and innovating the industry, but the fact is they haven't innovated shyt game wise since the fukking 64.

Games on ps2 played nothing like games on psx and the games of this gen seen alot of big changes from the ps2 and xbox games, almost to the point that alot of ps2 (and to a lesser extent xbox) classics are hard to play now.

But for some strange reason, nintendo games play exactly the same as they did since the 64, right down to having the same story in all their games. yeah the wii added gimmicky motion controls but the core gameplay in all their games were always the same as they been since 64 (and in the case of donkey kong and kirby, the snes)

They are literally the only company that has made the same games the same way since their first 3d system and have people act like they are leading the way for innovation in the gaming industry.

again, talking about graphics and cinematic features that hyper inflate game development budgets to the point where its cheaper to make movies for Hollywood. Where is the gameplay? Where are those vast RPGs and action games that are so few and far in between? The average game for the PS2 gen was $2.5 to 4 million. The average PS3 game cost up to $50 million. People predict that the PS4 development costs can go up to $300 million.

Again, talking about better graphics and similar online speeds isn't going to cut it anymore. Maybe they will learn when shyt gets ugly.

Keep playing with what are basically 64 games with good graphics and gimmicks and wait for nintendo to save the day then.

If nintendo really cared about the gaming industry, they wouldnt design cheap products with the intent to make a quick buck off of people that dont game, abandoning gamers. They wouldnt design the same games geared exclusively toward children and, again, abandon gamers either.

And I doubt development cost will go up at all considering the pc structure and the better hardware should make it alot easier to develop games

Some of you cats are delusional. Nintendo would have to drop the ball for the next 2-3 gens before it would be a problem. If Sony can have the best selling console of all time (PS2) then lose more money on the PS3 than they ever made on the PS2.....and still bounce back, how can you sit there and say Nintendo is done after literally one bad launch?

It LOOKS like its beginning right now. The way I see it, the wii u was not made with the intention of having a long life cycle. We have been saying it since it dropped, that console was created merely to catch up with the 360 and ps3 which both have about 3 years left because the wii hit a brick wall. Nintendo will release another console in the next 4 years, and it will be on the level of the One and ps4. I see it flopping, and that will make 2 flopped systems, with the lack of third party support, and general consumer disinterest. They dug themselves into a hole with the wii, and the question is how do they dig themselves out? I dont see it.

I could be wrong, but I dont think I am.

i feel where you're coming from but nintendo aint offering VR either. gaming feels stagnant because as a kid, our perception of futuristic gaming was a complete VR simulator. however, nintendo doesn't even understand the importance of online gaming. PS4 is the only console looking into development for the occulus rift. i'm just trying to say if you've out grown gaming, it's understandable, but nintendo isn't worthy of defending
