Which failed hits are you referring to?
Hero, Make the World Go Round, You Won’t See Me Tonight, Nastradamus, You Owe Me, Big Things, Dr. Knockboots, Summer on Smash, Braveheart Party.

Even caught hate for Oochie Wally, a dope club record just for being who he is to then throw that shade on J. Cole years later.

I actually really liked those tracks and felt like they should’ve been way bigger

As a producer I can hear potential in this song lol. Take the annoying alarm clock sound off the beat and put a bigger R&B singer on it

yall are buggin, this was not an "attempt" at a cross over, it succeeded.. that shyt was on the radio all day. i think the point of this thread was attempts that failed

Nas was already established tho. Maybe he was just having fun with those records?

Don't get me wrong, the song is decent but it was a disappointment to day one Ghost fans at the time.

Man I thought this song was dope when it first came out and it’s still dope...it wasn’t your typical forced rnb/hh collabo its a genuine feel good song about life really...I fux with wutang but gottdamn if majority of there fan aren’t soulless corny non blacks and fake backpackers/purist...

Lol at that wale song being a attempt at a crossover hit that was his first official single & it was more of a hip hop song with a pop artist on the hook stop hatin on the boy for a big look that didnt pop shyt was no different than him hooking up with seinfeld:rudy:

Exactly it’s some revisionist bs in this....Chillin was a dope party cut for the masses...nothing sounded like it at the time with all the copycat bs at the time forced by the labels....

Nikkas just posting songs they don’t like

Pretty much
