Ehh, the first defender had moved him back a half yd or so before the 2nd defender came in and knocked the ball out. He called forward progress quickly but that's not as bad as the Saints/Rams call by any means.
I thought this was gonna be about the early 2000s playoff game between the 49ers and Giants. THAT game was sofor the Giants. In terms of 49ers/Giants playoff games I thought that game would be more memorable to someone who wasn't a fan of ethier team
I'm a Giants fan so I have no issue with the call in OPThe call in OP isn't nearly as controversial as a Tuck rule game for example, most people probably forgot about the 2012 NFCCG
Tuck rule was correctly called by the letter of the law. Not a good rule, but it was correct.
That was a classic game.
I said noy including penalties or non-calls as that would obviously be right up there. I don't think that was even close to forward progress though.
