Yes, without the Hardyz Boyz and Team Xtreme, there would be no solo Matt Hardy run. Further proof? After he fukked up that feud with Edge, he was paired with Jeff. And Matt only got signed to TNA both times because of Jeff. Only Matt's fans chanted "WE WANT MATT" because of all the lies and BS he put online about Lita and the WWE ran with it to make Matt a face.

WWE protects many wrestlers. Edge is not the first, nor the last.

You're talking about 2003 character. That was a comedy run. I'm talking when fans begged for him to come back and we're chanting for him way more than they ever he chanted for Jeff pre WM 21.

the rock got booed at summerslam because everybody knew he was gonna drop the belt and go do a movie(s).
same reason brock himself got booed at mania xx, along with goldberg because we all knew they were leaving after that awkward match.

a better example wouldve been rocky miavia getting booed. but the difference there is that the rock went back to the drawing board, as opposed to edge, who they continued to push anyway.

Forgot all about that. Not only did he beat Cena but he was also champion of ECW which WWE had just rebranded. They were ready to strap that rocket to him and blow him up and he decided to fukk it off for weed. One of the dumbest career moves ever.

The Stalker thing was alright even if not totally fitting but it was big at the time. Dude got buried almost immediately at KOTR. Taker killed him at that show. He'd get hit, shrug it off, kick DDP's ass. Get hit in the nuts, grab them and groan, and then go back to beating the shyt out of Page. He’d get hit with a chair, stagger around for a while, and then go back to beating the shyt out of Page. DDP begged off and then ran away. And that would sum up the entirety of their “feud” over the next few months. Basically killed DDP's in ring career. He didn't do much after and retired quietly a few years later. Should've just sat out his contract like the other WCW guys but hindsight is 20/20.

rvd was never gonna be the face of the company.

he got it cuz they were in the midst of re-launching ecw.

they were probably going to have him give cena his belt back at the next ppv, and move on as ecw champ.
