No he wasn't that good ever. He just looked the part. Jameis won a championship his first year starting with that same team

Ponder overachieved in college Manuel underachieved switch teams I think Ponder wins a title with 2012 FSU team Ponder never played with anything close to the talent EJ had around him. Both had no business being 1st round anything.

Still makes NO fukkING SENSE how Gabbert was hyped that much and went that high

Its Johnny 8ball tho. Flamed out faster than anything we've seen, pure dumbass

I knew a dude named "Gabbert" wasn't destined for greatness when I first heard it.

Shyt had bust written all over it.

Just like when the 49ers drafted "Jim Druckenmiller".....I knew that shyt wasn't going to work out:mjlol:

What shocked me even more is they took him over Jake Plummer who was basically a Joe Montana clone at the time.

Even Bill Walsh was going around raving about Jake & saying how he reminded him of Joe Cool.

Y'all might laugh now, but Jake was probably one of the most promising young QB's in the NFL his first 3 seasons.

He got the Cardinals to the playoffs in only his 2nd year. That's the equivalent of a 2nd year QB getting the Jaguars

to the offs right now.

If Manuel played another year we would've had that '13 national championship :mjcry:

I voted Locker, but there's plenty of guys on the list who could be the worst. Locker got hyped for a couple years, especially by that hack McShay, like he was the next legend at the QB position. Not even in the league after four seasons. :heh:

At least scrubs like Ponder and Gabbert completed 60% of their passes in one of their college seasons. Locker's senior season he completed 55.4% of his throws. :mindblown:

I remember some scout saying Locker was the GOAT QB prospect.I mean, just raving about his measurables.

Shyt had me:mindblown:........I never got the hype

I voted Ponder and Manuel. Even though guys like Gabbert and Manziel were wrongly hyped, they were still hyped. No one was even thinking of Ponder and Manuel for the first round. Remember Bill Simmons reaction when Anthony Bennett got drafted? That was me when Christian Ponder's name got announced :pachaha:
