Worst issues Need help and advice for planet fitness

I’m having issues at young age of 25 with push ups mainly I hear a popping sound when I go up and or when I come down as of now there is no real pain but I I have the thought in the back of my head that it’s something wrong so it throws off my training and I’m tryna get 50 in under 1 min while as of right now I can hardly do more than 20 because after that I hit a wall and my speed starts to come down. Any idea what I can do to stop this

I’m tryna gain muscle and cut if that makes any sense. I mainly run and do the Stairmaster or the elliptical 5 days a week and I’ll lift 3 days which are dB curls, shoulder press, chest press
Triceps Press leg press and dips any idea on what I can do do better my workouts to have a better looking body for some summer

You need to build up your body slowly you might be pushing too hard

try something like this.

I dont know how much just doing one type of pushup will help you.

Also...dont worry about doing them super fast...focus on the muscle contraction...
...banging them out real fast is just for show.
