I think in the end...
We'll at least get an animated version.
But this is still at least 2 years away due to Winds of Winter needing to already be out for while...
and
we need to at least be on or past season 6 of the show
I'm on the second book and watching the first season. do they really do a book a season?

Honestly, I can't wait for the day they start making TES movies. So much potential for endless storytelling without worrying about running out of material.
:snoop: NO! Look at how much detail & effort that Peter Jackson & crew put into the LotR/Hobbit movies, you'd definitely have to get a director/writer/producer on par with Peter Jackson.

The 1st 2 seasons follows the 1st 2 books pretty well
The 3rd season covers 3/5ths of the 3rd book
This season is where things start to change.

There are minor things that overlap time wise in the end of book 3 onto books 4 and 5
This is due to book 4 focusing on Southern Westeros and a little bit of Essos(Continent to the right of Westeros)
and
Book 5 focusing on the North, Iron Islands and Essos

Books 4 and 5 aren't linear,
They are parallel but in different locations if you feel me.

GRRM originally had books 4 and 5 as 1 book but decided to split it based on location

With that,
Season 4 of GoT's will focus on the remaining 2/5ths of Storm of Swords
while also venturing into a Feast of Crows and Dance with Dragons...
I'd say 1/5th of each will be in the season

So keep on reading breh
Book 3 is my favorite book...
Especially the 2nd half
:scheme:

Let me know if you have anymore questions

:manny:

yall argued with me about Star Wars: The Old Republic too :russ:

It'll be a major flop on consoles, nobody is going to pay $60 for the game + $15 subscription and then $50+ for PS+/XBL
no one's really been too successful with the subscription model since WoW though. there's so many other games that are either completely free (but usually with microtransactions), or only require the cost of purchase. they're really gonna need to pull out something special to convince people to pay a monthly fee. so far I haven't seen that, and many other people seem to be of the same opinion. most assume the game will have to go free-2-play...

none of those games hada following like skryim/elder scrolls online

edit: and star wars sold GREAT, it wasnt the publics fault the game was trash.. ive played ESO, the game is easily the best MMO

:ohhh: Is that supposed to be a prequel to the GoT series/books?

Stop
:stop:

I want you to at least finish book 2 before venturing in this to at least build a basis for your own speculations
I don't even want to go into detail regarding this if you haven't already thought of it yourself
Some people might tell you what is speculated,
I'll wait until your far enough in.

With that said...

Bioware Star Wars games did/do have a pretty big following. I'm sure many are pretty upset Bioware didn't make a new single player "knights of the old republic" type game (and they fuct up Dragon Age)

The Elder Scrolls is very popular. the question is do it's players really want to play an MMO, and do they want to pay a monthly fee for it

nice. thanks. I was worried they would just rush the series into a book a season. From my speculation it looks like they hurried through the setup and got deep into the middle of the series is that correct?

idk, but i will say that a mass effect movie or tv series could be better than star wars

Actually,
Unlike anything gone from print to film...
this isn't rushed

If anything...
we(the book readers here),
Feel like GRRM is taking too long to write the books...
but the show does an amazing job at keeping up with content

I'm not sure if it's in the first book or not. I never read the series. But its definitely a prequel to the series.

It's just a war that proceeded the books by like 20 years
but,
it set the book-up and all it's drama

It also tells us who Jon's parents are

No, it's not in the 1st book. The 1st season of the show is an adaptation of the 1st book, the 2nd season is an adaptation of the 2nd book, & most of the bookreaders say the 3rd season is an adaptation of ONLY half the 3rd book.
