She became more popular after leaving DX. This era is filled with people who wouldn't have been shyt during the Attitude Era, and that's because today's wrestlers look more like fans than wrestlers. Hell a number of them wouldn't be able to survive the Ruthless Aggression era if we're being completely honest.

It clearly says THIS ERA. As in today & today's womens wrestling is way better than the stuff that Chyna had to work with & the expectations are much higher.

The era she excelled in women's wrestling & expectations of what it could bring was low. Women's wrestling was straight mediocre piss break status

Chyna would have to do a lot more than be some meathead woman to impress a crowd that's more fickled with more platforms to complain.

I don't believe Chyna was talented enough where would excellent in this era. She greatly benefited from the fact that the women's wrestling back then was a joke to the company.

She was also fantastic in her role with Eddie Chyna may have been a very below average wrestler, and would be the same in this current era, but she was a bigger than life personality and managed to become that by barely even talking in her early years. Can't take that away from her at all.
