Stillmatic is the greatest comeback album of all time, with the greatest diss, during a competitive time in rap

My opinion is one of many...go to YT and watch vids on Stillmatic vs BP
The Blueprint is one of the greatest albums in music history. Stillmatic was a cool album from 2001.

Stillmatic is not by any metric more important than the Blueprint. It’s not as sampled, it’s not as quoted, it wasn’t as impactful to rap music. It wasn’t

None of the Nas albums of the 21st century are as important as the Blueprint is.

BP is an iconic album bc of production

Stillmatic is an iconic album bc it represented the best comeback ever and is lyrically the best album of that yr

Jigga was so insecure about Stillmatic he dropped BP Unplugged to try to step on it :mjlol:

Nikkas really gonna pretend like Ether, One Mic & Got Urself A Gun wasn't in full rotation on the radio and BET :mjlol:

Nas cemented himself as a hip hop legend with Stillmatic...Lost Tapes and God's Son was the cherry on top

Why do people like OP make threads like this expecting us to agree with them?

I notice it happens all the time where a ridiculous take gets thrown out, posters engage with it, and OP gets irritated because certain people challenge them. What's the point of asking a question if you don't want anyone giving answers you don't like? :scust:

I was going to reply this thread is not really a Nas/Jay discussion, it's a question whether there was Kanye West without The Blueprint - if you think there isn't, of course BP is more important than anything.

Besides that, your wrong about "not as quoted" because the word "ether" is frequently used, you can really outpace that kind of impact/quoteable

The terms stan (as a non proper noun) and ether (as a verb) being entered into common parlance throws the bolded into debate, and completely negates the premise of the thread …a song from the album literally altered the English language

OP you was almost there, but you fucced up by including the first three.

If you woulda said “Is it fair to say The Blueprint is more important to hip-hop than any Gnauze
album since he says Hip-Hop died??” Then I might’ve rode with you…but you got greedy.
