But, I would be bothered if I dated or married someone who had animus towards others who have dated/married interracially.

For me, I have an issue with people who hold unwarranted prejudices towards people they don't know nor care to know.

In addition, why should it matter who someone has dealt with in the past, unless their past could negatively impact your life?

You can be with someone who was strictly endogamous and be a detriment to your life. Conversely, you could be with someone who was previously exogamous and be the best thing to happen to your life.

I believe people should understand that everyone has his/her own journey and deal with social constructs differently.

If it bothers you that someone doesn't subscribe to your social construct, then cool. Charge them to the game and get with someone who shares your views on things.

This reminds me of a chick I met who said she grew up in a small town in Idaho and told me she never met another black person besides her family until she moved to the city.
