If anything, she benefited from him but they both wouldve been just fine because they werent a couple that was forced down our throats by the media. They seemed pretty low key with it. He's already considered one of the top players in hiphop of all time. Not really sure worldwide pop success was in the cards for him in the first place. Hiphop artist usually never reach that level of success.

Beyonce and Def Jam presidency kept his name in the news after his retirement. Otherwise he would've faded into obscurity.
