turf was so bad earlier this year our own squad couldnt practice on it

Ill re type what my guess is why it gets bad.

Santa Clara weather is more like Sacramento weather than it is like San Francisco weather. Just pure dry heat and very little shade in the stadium so the turf is just sitting in the hot ass sun all day almost year round. The weather in Santa Clara just cant be good for what they had planned there turf wise..

I think this off season theyll have to start over from scratch with different type (or pure grass but im not sure thatll get approved with the water drought in california)

The hockey game couldnt of helped either

Horrible stadium located in a area where it's all about the tech industry...

Stadium is built for outdoor concerts, special high tech conventions and a way to have the expensive dollars at the game..

Football games there is for something to do on sunday since there's nothing else Santa Clara

Naaaw weather had nothing to do with it. Ive played on the fields right next to the stadium and those fields were perfect. Of course after a tournament weekend it would be busted but still easy to play on. They're not doing something right. The grass they buy must be cheap af.

Those fields have no shade. Maybe now since the stadiums up but I've been playing there since 2008 best shade you had on the grass was from the shadow of a light post.
