He could. Sure.
But if he's concerned with perception and "being the man" then he's not worth the trouble.
The Spurs have good team chemistry and it's been that way for 20 years. I don't want a guy who is upset and can't appreciate playing with an all-time great player....if that's the case in Cleveland.

If Kyrie is upset because he wants 25 shots a game, then the Spurs aren't for him.
I heard the Knicks need a PG though. And Hornacek seems like the type of coach who is quite happy letting his PGs run wild. He seemingly did so in Phoenix.

The Truth
Yes..lol @ the Kyrie backlash now that he doesn't want to play for your team
Exactly

He bails yall nikkas out in game 7, becomes known to anyone other than Cavs fans as the closer on the team, now all of a sudden he can't pass (averaging 6 assists while playing Bron Ball) or play defense and is too trash to play on the Spurs

And they're questioning why he wants to leave?? This meltdown has been comedic.

I think it would. The team would play defense so he wouldn't have to. I'd actually love to see him on the spurs.

Someone's putting words in folks mouths. Spurs already low key want to get rid of Lamarcus. He came to SA as an iso player and he haven't had the impact that they thought. Kyrie want to leave Cleveland because he wants to be 'the man' by going somewhere where he won't be the man?

I'm perfectly fine with Kyrie taking 25 shots a game...because his shots are going to generate open looks for other players...unlike lap*ssy softridge who no one guards and shots don't generate anything but rebounds for the other team...

And...somebody on this team HAS to shoot the ball...

Danny hardly ever shoots...Kyle Anderson hardly ever shoots...don't even really know if Bertans is going to get enough minutes for his shots to matter yet...Forbes as well...Dejounte still can't shoot...

I'd rather Kyrie shoot 25 times than those guys outside of Bertans and Forbes shoot 5 times apiece...

Who the Spurs gonna trade him for ? :gucci:

You see what Paul George got traded for :gucci:

You see what Chris Paul got traded for :gucci:

Nba has entered 2k franchise mode levels of trading...

Wouldn't even shock me if the trade was just Danny Green and Kyle Anderson for Kyrie...

People still think this is the spurs beautiful game we pass the ball better than anyone offense...

It's not...

LMA is to stupid to even know what an nba offense is...he is literally one of the 10 dumbest players I have ever seen play basketball and perhaps the second worst passer i have ever seen...

And that is because he plays with Danny Green...the outright worse passer I have ever seen...

I would mention how Tony Parker just had his second worse season ever but I will let you peep his boxscores and let you tally up all the 20 + minutes played games he had with 0 points and 0 assist...

Manu took 3 playoff games to score 1 point...

In 3 years I don't think I have EVER seen Kyle Anderson shoot the ball 2 times in a row

So would Kyrie help the Spurs?

Put it like this Bryn Forbes might be getting rotation minutes next year...

You know who Bryn Forbes is?

EXACTLY...

But shoutout to my nikka danny green

Idk why he wouldnt. Lowkey the Beautiful Game Spurs are dead and gone. They play a lot of iso ball with kawhi, kyrie would actually bring balance to the offense
Spurs were right behind the Warriors in passes per game at 6th :aicmon:

Can the best one on one scorer in the league excel playing for the best coach in modern history

That's a tough question

You get the clear impression that Pops doesn't have any love for one-on-one scoring though.

Kyrie would improve the Spurs solely because the Spurs are low on talent right now outside of Kawhi. But if Pops is planning ahead, I'm not sure this is the choice he would make for the long run.

Besides, who would the Spurs be willing to give up for him, that some other team wouldn't be willing to give up more?
