Forget the stats for a minute.. I was watching some rookie MJ highlights..

Has anybody ever displayed this kind of skill as a rookie? Jesus! The move he put on Bernard king at 8:22 was :scust:
I cant believe MJ was this good coming out of college.

Would you put rookie MJ over Steph and Bron? Where would he rank?

Breh said the transition to the league had "been pretty easy "
:deadmanny: Goat from birth. I want to live long enough to see someone set the league on fire day one like Mike.

At what tho? I've never seen LeBron display the kind of skill rookie MJ displayed(granted ive only seen highlights). Offensively and skill wise it isnt close, rookie MJ is better.
I hate this argument of judging by "skillset" though. Kyrie Irving has a greater offensive skillset than LeBron. Is he better than LeBron? fukk no lol. At the end of the day basketball is about impact, and in terms of that LeBron and KD are both def better than rookie MJ. You have to keep in mind the 80's was a very fast-paced era with little defense played so MJ's stats from then were inflated.

And while we're at it, while what rookie MJ did was amazing, I'm struggling to understand how you're baffled by an MJ who spent 3 years in college coming in and smoking the NBA when a 19 y/o LeBron with ZERO college was averaging 27ppg. :dead:

That shyts a years highlight tape for some nikkas. That's a 102 finish around the rim rating on 2k

No, he wouldn't those stats are inflated because of the era...

1984-85 Pace: 102.2 possessions per game,
1984-85 Defensive Rating: 108 dRtg

2015-16 Pace: 95.8 possessions per game
2015-16 Defensive Rating: 106 dRtg

A rookie Jordan with a limited jumper would be zoned today and he would see better athletes and more sophisticated defenses in general. Also, rookie Jordan had the green light and was a seasoned rookie three years at North Carolina. Dudes like LeBron, KD, Kobe, Melo were 18 and 19 coming out.
