Help defense was trash then you couldn't pseudo zone. If you watch Jordan's 63 point game against Boston dude was taking those cacs Bird and Ainge one on one and you really couldn't shade or double team like today. It would be called an illegal defense and a technical would be given. Transition defense was also worse because of the increased pace...
Hand checking was used specifically for half court defenses. When has lebron ever been a all time great half court player? He's all about the (full head of steam). He'd still be great but again there's a GOAT and there's Lebron, that's all. Nothing to be ashamed of
:mjlol:

Always. LeBron was always an elite half court player and a league leader in points per possession in isolation situations. He's one of the best pick and roll players to ever play the game.
Should I listen to a cac from Vegas or NBA Hall of Famers :dwillhuh::patrice:

During a 2007 L.A. Lakers pre-season broadcast, Phil Jackson was asked how he thought Michael Jordan would perform today, Phil said: "Michael would average 45 with these rules.

You can't even touch a guy now," says Charlotte coach Larry Brown. "The college game is much more physical than our game. I always tease Michael [Jordan], if he played today, he'd average 50."

Asked if he could defend Jordan under today’s interpretation of the rules, Dumars first laughed, “It would have been virtually impossible to defend Michael Jordan based on the way the game’s being called right now.

fukk them Im riding with you Vegas Cac :blessed:
But there was one that might be bothersome, the zone defense. It was the topic du jour at last month's All-Star Game, and Jordan was making an impassioned plea before the competition committee that had gathered to consider rules changes to enliven the NBA game.Jordan spoke passionately. If teams were able to play zone defenses, he said, he never would have had the career he did.

:mjpls:

Why didn't scoring sky rocket to league record with the abolishment of handchecking?

What does that have to do with what I said? There are other variables as to why his STATS may look good. I saw a series where he was dared to shoot open jump shots lol. He didn't get busy against gs until he he started getting easy transition points besides game 5 when his shot was turnt up. Laughing smilies don't change the truth.

You don't average 27 points per game for your career as a poor or average half court player. It's just not the truth but carry on I guess.

Niccaz talking about Bron & KD.

I still see flashes of puzzy in them niccaz game.

Mike was a psychopathic killa.

Give me rookie Mike in todays setting. Not only will he probably be the most technically skilled, more importantly, he'd be the most mentally tough.

Yep...even as a rook.

Give me 1st year Mike

I already know people wouldn't give him much credit because he'd be 21.

Folks would be talking about using him as trade bait after his first 2 seasons. "Anybody can post up stats on bad teams! Trade him for younger picks."

Then he'd go on to be a 6 time Champion.

Jordan would be top 5 for sure. The only ones I could see definitely being over him is Bron and KD. Don't think I can choose anybody else over him though. With the rules today and the refs sending teams to the line a lot it seems and with Mike probably incorporating the 3 in his game more I believe he probably would have averaged even more as a rookie. I may be overstating it but Jordan was that good and the rules today would be especially in his favor.

the defense in the OP's video is LAUGHABLY bad

but this is going to be the usual sycophantic Jordan/old head basketball discussion anyway so just sit back and let these guys bask in the haze of nostalgia
Who is the greatest basketball player ever? Answer that question

Did I say poor or average you weirdo Stan? :what: I said he's not THAT great. Kobe and mj are both better off the top of my head.

Do you think half court game is just scoring? :dwillhuh:

Lebron's passing, vision, playmaking, ability to get into the paint, finishing ability, touch around the rim, and overall basketball IQ plus shot selection makes him comparable to Kobe.

Iggy got a FMVP for simply being able to GUARD Lebron in a one on one situation so his teammates could focus on taking away the easy shots that 95% of the league couldn't touch. nikkas get too caught up in aesthetics but Lebron is an ELITE half-court player. Dude has required a double team since he was 20 years old because he gets what he wants at will.
