The people that he killed weren't "innocent" though. C---yman killed the white girl's best friend bc she was making fun of him by invoking his spirit, he killed Virginia Madsen's boyfriend; by possessing Virginia Madsen (Helen), that was revenge for cheating on her while she was locked away in the insane asylum after having interactions with C---yman. He wasn't going around murdering any random black peoplea nikka that killed innocent people to get his hands on a blue eyed white girl...
. All that he did was decapitate a dog and steal a baby because he needed "innocent blood" to keep the legend going. He didn't kill the baby, the baby was returned to the mother. He didn't murder anyone in the projects. Helen sacrificed herself to C---yman to become part of the legend as she was burned alive, in order to save the baby.-the C----yman was the son of a slave who became prosperous by mass-producing shoes after the Civil War. At an early age, he was accepted by the white society. As a well-known artist, he was sought after to paint the portraits of wealthy landowners and their children. After falling in love with a white woman that he was hired to paint and fathering a child with her, the CMan was set upon by a lynch mob that was hired by his lover's father. They cut off his right hand with a rusty saw and smeared him with honey stolen from an apiary, attracting the bees which sting him to death. His corpse was burned and his ashes were scattered across the land on which Cabrini-Green was built.
Basically, CMan was "Rob" or "Derrick" the token movie swirl actor from early 2000s teen movies except instead of portraits, it was piano and dance lessons to rich white people
he turned evil after constantly being harassed and insulted about his race
