Plus there are people who are on the fence about joining the military anyways. The decision being made for some people wouldn't be that bad.

. Now if you wanted to make certain people eligible instead of sending them back to the streets to be on parole Id be okay with it. But if you can be released from jail to go fight in a war,you probably dont belong in prison in the first place. I said they need to militarize the schools. Seperate the bad apples and torture them through basic training excercises. If they get tired enough they will get their act together and go back to class. If not,you are setting them on the course for the military. Which I dont endorse,but its better than death and jail many of this kids face.

Beat me to it. Who wants a generation of John Rambos coming back home to a nation that imprisoned them and then made them risk their lives for freedom? People don't think about the ripples that would shake society by doing something like this.

It would have to be a 9/11 and Pearl Harbor combined attack and World War 3 to get Congress to even consider it and for American citizens to be somewhat ok with a draft. A war with American boots on the ground fighting Iranians because of Israel is not going to do it.

If it was a war to defend Israel, civilians will refuse and the ones that go will start killing the IDF nikkas. I know I would.
