I see you guys crowning Leonard acting like he went to the Hornets or Pistons or Magic.
He went to the best team from the East last year. He has shooters all over the place. He has a B+ squad at worse. Bron had a C+ squad at best.

Kawhi is the better player now, in Year 8 compared to Year 16 for Bron, really if Bron is still able to work Kawhi at this stage of his career we need to be asking serious questions about Kawhi...
LeBron in his prime worked everybody religiously, including Kawhi, don't even try it lol...
We all shyt on the Raptors because they notoriously fold in the playoffs, but they've been a top team in the NBA for several years. There is a dramatic jump in talent from DeRozan to Kawhi, but Kawhi didn't exactly go to a bottom feeder. The Raptors And to date we have never seen Kawhi lead a team to The Finals. This is the second time he's been close, though...

And you're acting like you didn't actually watch the games lol. Kawhi made several strong defensive stands, mostly his strength and length helped keep LeBron from charging the lane, and forced some turnovers...
But the Spurs had coverage behind Kawhi on nearly every posession, it was a team effort to keep LeBron out of the lane. And his teammates were horrible, Wade was trash in '14 and they played lethargic the whole series, which helps explain the turnovers...
It wasn't 1v1 the way people romanticize, and even if you go the 1v1 route you'd have to say Kawhi/LeBron was a draw because Bron shot like 60% with Kawhi guarding him, but Kawhi also kept him from the paint and forced some turnovers...
Kawhi Leonard can't "shut down" a guy who shot 60% on him. He played good defense, but not "shutdown" defense lmao...
