As much as I diss my own city, Montreal. It definitely has alot more personality than Toronto.
I live in Mtl now, and I don't have a problem with it. I find that I can pretty much get anything I want here the same as I could in Toronto....only a little more expensive. This dumbasss province is waay too expensive for me.
Gas is
Shyt, half the time I wanna drive back to Ontario I drive through NY, jsut for cheaper gas and to grab some other shyt along the way.
I haven't noticed any affect on the products here due to the language laws. Plus you cna't get liquor in variety stores here only beer. Liquor you have to go to SAQ.
Montreal ain't bad but QC is fukked for redneck racist nationalists.
That being said, MTL and TO are equal to me. They both offer alot of the same things and they both have their differences that set them apart and make them unique.
But all in all Vancouver>>both

My girls whole fam is from Toronto, I mean its cool and all and compared to cities in fly over US states yeah its better but its not even in the same stratosphere as NY or Cali. Not even close. actually, the areas in chicago that is unstable is just a small amount of neighborhoods its not even that bad throughout the rest of the city.

Both Chicago and Toronto are under performing economically. Toronto's GDP s just barely above Detroit, and Chicago is being beaten by SF and DC? Chicago has violence and Toronto is becoming a glass condo museum. I don't want this city to be like Vancouver with nothing but expensive condos downtown and not enough people to pay for them.
