5 MVPs.......I was almost on that "1 championship" tip, but reading the replies about MORE MONEY, ENDORSEMENTS, MORE JOBS AFTER THE GAME IS OVER….It just makes MORE SENSE….

If you have 5 MVPs, you'd probably have AT LEAST one ring. Has anyone won that many MVPs and not won a ring?

Barry Bonds has SEVEN MVPs and no ring to speak of.
It is what it is.There's only a handful of people with five MVPs anyway (Bonds, Kareem, Jordan, can't think of anyone else off the top of my head).
There's obvious pros and cons to both, but if I'm being honest, sports are SO much more fun when your winning.
Take the earnings out of it, professional sports can be a grueling, monotonous existence in it's own right. Doing your job well and being rewarded for it at the end of the year with a trophy is nice, but that day to day camaraderie of participating in a team sport and actually winning games and eventually championships???

fukk it, If I do anything I want to reach the top of the sport and win it all. So I chose the Ring.
MVP's are cool but I'm not one of those flashy ass nikkas. If I'm in the league I'm prolly making some good bread anyway so if I stack my paper right I'm going to eat good regardless, plus I can say I was a champion too.

with this comparison i'd take wade, but we're talking about two of the top 5-10 players of their era here... he doesn't have the MVPs but no one would deny wade as a superstar

All things being equal I would take the 5 MVPs. If we were talking multiple titles then it's one thing but just 1 title?
A nikka with 5 MVPs is likely gonna get multiple max contracts, be regarded as one of the greats anyway, and have all kinds of off the court opportunities. A lot of nikkas in every sport can say they have a title. Not too many can say they have 5 MVPs.
