What isn't imaginary is that Congressman John Conyers had tried for 30 years to get legislation in the House passed that would allocate just $12 million dollars towards the study of the reparations issue.

The $12M reparation bill, HR 40, has not been able to move out of committee to a floor vote for three decades.

No realistic drive for reparations can move forward without considering the existing proposal before Congress. But that active legislation push is being ignored right now due to recent internet hype.

To be honest I'm sick of seeing these reparations threads simply because the possibility of it happening is far fetched and like the Dogg Pound song, I don't like to dream about getting paid. However, OP's question illustrates to me partly why I think reparations will never happen. There's just too many questions, too many variables, too many peoples that can say they have the blood of a slave running through their veins. I feel like the whole discussion and concept of reparations example #95955656665666 of the Dungeons and Dragons like fantasy world present here on the Coli that passes for being Pro Black. There's a tremendous inability to be realistic on here at times.

I say give an ancestry test to anyone claiming to be of African American descent and saying you must hit a certain percentage.
