Would you all consider The Terminator a "Sci-Fi" or "Horror" movie?

I was watching this movie, this morning, and it is so drastically different from any of the other films in it's franchise. I know that a lot of people consider it Sci-Fi (or Action), but it follows so many horror movie tropes. A giant, bruiting, near unstoppable force. A lone female survivor. And that last act where it keeps coming back after you think it's gone. Plus the music....and that "dream" sequence.

What do you all think? I actually consider it horror, myself.

Good case for horror. I looked at it as Sci-Fi with horror elements...

Scifi but i can see why it could be labeled horror. I remember them labeling the matrix as horror when it first came out too

First one is definitely horror.

But I don't think nothing will top the horror that was Genisys. shyt was so scary I walked out.

It's sci-fi horror. As is alien and aliens.

Actually Terminator and Aliens are like 3 to 4 different genres. Action, horror, sci fi and thrillers. Same with Predator.

It's strange to think that this was my mom and dad's first date movie. Mom wanted to see something scary that weekend so they chose that.

Like @Ebonic Plague said it’s scifi horror. Cameron says he was inspired partly by Halloween and what carpenter did with Myers so the elements are definitely there. T2 is an action scifi hybrid
