If he didn't suffer a career ending injury he would have probably beaten Flair for the title and would have been big in the south for WCW. I don't know if he would have been big as Hogan though. Mainly due to WCW management being incompetent and still probably bringing in Jim Herd.

sting was not in the magnum gen of nwa.
the rival promotion where I first saw sting was the uwf.
where he was probably the third single scariest heel on tv after macho and bret.
sting was not even in uwf at the time.
nor, was uwf on tv, either.
this was like two gen's of nwa before sting.
this was during the horsemen kick your unholy ass period.
when they put magnum out permanently via angle.
took a portion of the kid's heart away.
beatdown was worse than the horsemen knock over the lighting and kick magnum's ass in the lockerroom hof beatdown.
horsemen were just hardbody..

I think if Magnum had not been in that career ending car crash then Lex Luger and Sting's careers would have been a bit different because they would have been fighting for that main event slot with Magnum.
