I'd want to say no since from a realistic standpoint I'll never be Michael Jai White fit enough to feel confident in taking down perps and to be honest I'm not sure I got the smarts to just Columbo my way around physical conflict.

Yes. $500,000 in resources plus $200,000/year is pretty good. I don't even know who would be paying that kind of cash though.
I wouldn't even need fighting training. I would just load up on weapons and get a bullet-proof VW Golf R for $500,000.
