Marriage is a terrifying notion when you have a decent amount of assets. Even with a prenup, the shyt would have a nikka like :merchant:

Never you mind....
Yes I would. I don't see the big deal about marriage. I understand some people take it very seriously and that's fine for them, no disrespect but to me it's just a legal document and a ring :yeshrug: Also if the relationship falls apart then both parties can just leave. There's no legal mumbo jumbo to go through just say bye and keep it moving.

Some people just don't want to get married....I believe in marriage so not at all..if we've been happily dating for a few years...eventually I expect to go to the next level...

Marriage is not the next level of a relationship. Marriage is a strategic business type merger between people for the purpose of merging assets and liabilities, getting access to someone else's health benefits at a job, tax purposes and financial reasons like merging wealth between families.

In your opinion...while I agree with certain points you've made...I won't be marrying a man with your thinking so I have nothing to worry about...I plan on marrying a man that matches my drive...so finances and assets aren't an issue and I don't plan on them being an issue...I see why some of you are against marriage with your mental blocks you make it sound like such a horrible thing...

The only problem I see with marriages are too many people are getting married either without enough knowledge on who they are marrying or they're ignoring red flags that warn them against being with that person...but they marry them anyway...

no that's not my opinion its a fact. marriage is a legally binding contract merging two people into one. marriage is not your relationship which exist before that contract is even signed and can continue to exist without the contract.

your opinion on marriage is that its the next step in a relationship. truth is a relationship is totally unnecessary for marriage. there are arranged marriages which used to be the norm for humans. also there were marriages for men to basically posses women polygamy. marriage solely for the idea of romantic love is pretty new to things.

your view on marriage is warped. it has almost never been what you see it as now.

As I feel on your marriage views...but since we aren't marrying one another...we are fine love...

my views on marriage are irrelevant. marriage is defined for us as legally and is a binding legal contract. it is not a relationship its a contract on top of a relationship.

this is why you have to sign a contract to get married and involve courts to end a marriage. marriage and a relationship are two things that are totally independent and irrelevant to each other. neither needs the other to exist.

as for my opinion on marriage: the reason so many marriages fail is because people look at marriage the way you do. its the next step in a relationship when it actually isn't that at all.

If two people want and strive for the same goal how can their views cause them to fail?
