Not necessarily because I would be embarrased of her but mostly because I could just imagine people thinking I "took advantadge" of her condition and (perceived) lower self-confidence to get with her. I know it's strange but it would bug me.

She signed.. Spoke English. .And Tagalog.. (she was Filapino) She was very intelligent sctually.. And yes she was born deaf.

I was going through a hard time when I met her.. And she was constantly like.. "look at me" deaf ..(and she had a heart condition) and I'm still here accomplishing my goals.. You have no excuse.."

And she was right.. Like I said looking back at it breaking up with her because I felt ashamed was one of the more regrettable mistakes of my life.. Right now I could be happily married in the Suburbs of Maryland had I stayed with her.. And here I am doing the same old she I was doing back then .

I feel for amputees, life gave them the shyt end but hopefully science can grow us new limbs very soon

I would date an amputee. But it has to be one leg and it has to be below the knee.

I would have no issue dating someone with a deformity as long as they were into some of the same things as me.
I've discovered that I truly am a personality focused person, so if we share the same interests and aspirations, its all good.

Sad shyt. How did you break up with her & what was her reaction? Did you keep in touch after?

Never really "broke up" .. just kinda stopped coming around.. I used the term "dated loosely" When really we just kinda slept with each other every few weeks/months for about 2 years..I was still seeing other people as was she.. but she really wanted me to do the boyfriend stuff with her and I was just like naw, im busy.. I really didn't like being see with her.. She was a little over weight too..

but just looking bad at it she was one of the nicest and most carting females that I ever met.

We were keeping in touch on email... but she got married.. and would you believe she and here husband were going through a hard time there first year.. because she told him that she was still in contact with her ex (me) and that she would always keep in contact with me..


When she told me the root of their arguments was me was totally shocked, as I wasn't really pursuing her like that for almost a year.... And I told her that it wasn't right for her to tell him this ... She was like "but we are friends.." but I was still telling her it's not cool to tell the man who loves you that you still think about you ex, and it's best we just stop talking altogether (i could have did him dirty, but I really dug deep and was trying to what was best for all parties...

I and haven't really spoke to her since..
