On a serious note though, I knew a student from about a year back who enrolled and had Tourette's. The most striking thing about it to me wasn't just that he had tics and would swear on occasion (he even did the same bird noises as the girl in the video from time to time):
It was finding out in the meeting once he enrolled that he actually hadn't always had tics. He was either a junior or going into that year when they started developing and then going into the next year, they were stronger. Really unfortunate to imagine being able to do so many things your whole life and to suddenly have your body essentially betray your control like that. Sucks.
Seeing it in an educational situation was also kind of sad because the pressure to suppress them and avoid distracting students seemed to only bring more on, but before watching the video OP posted, I hadn't considered other simple things like going to the movies. Kid probably did that all the time prior to being diagnosed. Tough disease.
