I never got made fun of, most people thought that I was pretty. The "popular" people at the school that I went to tried to become friends with me when I first got there, but I didn't really like them. I was new to that area too. I don't/didn't care about popularity and the other high school mess they cared about. I had a few acquaintances, but I didn't really have any friends at that school (I had friends outside of school though). I thought that a few people were somewhat attractive, but I didn't like their personality.
