This sounds fukked up but I would purposely give my kids, if I had any, racially ambiguous first names. The middle names I would get creative with and do something more African. Reason being they are going to have to grow up and get a job someday. Want it easier for them.

At least they got the interview. Some hiring firms and managers see 'black sounding' names on applications and resumes then they throw them aside or trash them. Housing applications are the same as well.

All the women in my family have African/Arabic names like Jamila, Kharima, Fatimah and So on. I rather like these names on women. Not very fond of the names for dudes tho. Dwoud, jamal, saleem and Ahmed like my uncles and grandfather sound so to me. For a boy Ill probably keep it american.
