Look at how small that dog is. It would have been simple to pick it up and slam it down on the ground, then hold it down by its kneck until it realized who was the true predator. I've lived with dogs way larger than that, heck even the dog we have now that is considered small by us, is larger than that.

So, no I would not have sat in the car. I would have gotten out and dominated the dog like a grown man should be able to do.
