It kinda is though. You basically have none of the cells of yourself from 20 years ago, but you are still you. Even your allegedly lifelong-nuerons have been dismantling and recreating themselves at the nucleotide level since birth because the lipid memebranes must be replaced and proteins must be replenished.
He basically offered you a chance of shedding your cells in one go.

Don't some cells last way longer than others? These cells recreate themselves in a way that keeps continuity like a game save, if I copy my save and play it on your system I'm not continuing my game, I'm playing a copy. If you shed your cells all at once it's not a transfer of continuity, it's death, I need cut/paste not copy/paste for the 20 mil.

Dang, I don’t get to choose the way I “die” so it could be truly horrific. I’ve never really injured myself in a way that has permanently traumatized although I know that has happened with people before.

I would think of it like my trials, to show im worthy. My family and i wanting for nothing ever again is only a bonus. Im very minimalistic anyway. The true point would be, as i mentioned, the good i could do in this world with that money.
Buy a ton of land, build farms, affordable housing, and an animal sanctuary where catset and dogset and everybody else can kick it in peace and harmony.
Make it all a non profit charity organization and set up trusts to help keep the lights on with the majority of the money.
Shyt the billionaires could and if they had any decency should be pulling together and doing.
20 mil aint a whole lot to do too much with, at least at first. Hopefully though enough folks would support it and blow that shyt up. At the very least it would make a difference in a good number of lives though. And hopefully some of those folks go on to pay it forward.
Like i said, as a minimalist we will be set for life, and a lot of folks lives would be significantly impacted in a positive way.
