Always depends on your situation. If I'm a young breh. 20's/30's single, no kids and that could get me some good experience? Hell yea.

If you're talking about a job in general when you don't have one or the contracting job pays significantly more than your current job, then yea. But if the contracting job only pays 10k more compared to the employee job and you're making 50k+, no way do you leave the employee job.

Is there a chance for you to grow or gain new knowledge frome the role?
30k is a lot of money to leave on the table but hapiness>>>>>>
I've recently become a permanent member of staff (been a contractor for years) I left alot of money on the table but I like the security (I used to be on 6 month contracts but they could still get rid of me when they wanted to.

A 3 year contract usually comes with the possibility of extension after the contract is over,

I left my last full time job for a chance to perma lance. But that turned into a FT position after 2 years.

With or without benefits?

Going 3 years without having medical insurance or a 401(k) would be a deal-breaker.
