I grew up with a single dad and as a little girl I never had friends stay over. TBH I didn’t invite anyone because their houses were always way more interesting. But it never occurred to me that their moms would never allow it anyway.

Im actually going to ask my 2 friends who would be the ones I would have invited and report back.

Please respond as this would probably answer questions I didn’t realise I had as a kid.

Give me free therapy.

This been all over TikTok for days now. Even men not rocking with this. I'm sure he means well and was in his feelings at the time of recording it but he should have snapped out of it after 30 seconds and realize there's a high probability he wouldn't let his daughter do that either. As a man I wouldn't want that anyway as I don't want to be accused of anything or be in a situation where an accusation could occur. I don't even babysit my friends or family kids. Kids be lying like a motherfukker also so fukk that shyt. Not putting me in the Summer Jam screen. :francis:

That's unfortunate for the little girl but I understand it

Maybe next time have her grandmother/aunt be the chaperone instead

I have two daughters. Unfortunately, sleepovers are a no go. You can do it when you’re 18.

It’s wild because some of my fondest memories were sleep overs with the neighbors and cousins.

You look up the sexual abuse stats and you will see why our generation is more protective of our children. Hell something like 30% of women have been molested/abused and of the 30%, what number is by “family” or people they know.

Sometimes the risk isn’t worth the “reward” of spending the night at your friend’s house. They can spend the evening and get dropped off.
