I couldn't live in Mississippi or the South honestly...it really doesn't fit with my personality and honestly the in your face racism there pisses me off and gets on my nerves.

Even with it's problems...living in NYC is nice. Atleast I don't have to see confederate flags everyday like when I lived in Pittsburgh.

Cause I've been there and experienced it?

In fact, my earliest experience with racism was in the South with my family. It happened when I was little and it was only when I was older that I understood what it was.

It's not for everyone...I know I couldn't do it.

But really, racism is everywhere, I've even spoke on it...it just manifested in a way that I can't stand there...even though I know there are mad happy black folks that live there.

I just would like to be in places where there are a good mix of Africans, West Indians, and African Americans. There aren't that many places like that in this country.

Why do people say this? As if racism is only restricted to the South...or that it's only poor white people or older white people...

It's EVERYWHERE! America is a white supremacist country if you haven't noticed...just because you'll go somewhere where you think the attitudes aren't prevalent don't mean they aren't there. Especially when it's constructed and operates from the same space that people don't want to change cause it benefits them and refuse to acknowledge cause they think it doesn't exist.

depends on what city really ive lived in alabama my whole life and dont really get as much of the in your face racism that people talk so much about. It does suck assuming that everyone you meet is racist off the bat though lol
