So it's either be Ivan Koloff, who nobody remembers ending Bruno's reign and only held the title for 3 weeks, or be Razor Ramon/Kofi Kingston levels of legendary with a single title, doomed to be the king of the midcard but putting on so many classic moments and matches that the positives far outweigh the negatives...?

:jbhmm:

:3peat: Meltzer gonna give me a fukking plaque for the five star matches I'll turn in with that IC title, brehs.

Give me the ic title scenario. If you have a good character you can be relevant and ppl will remember you. The other one is what dolph ziggler is right now lol

Let's say you're a pro wrestler and you get to choose between :

- Being the longest reigning Intercontinental champion of all time with a lot of title defenses, classic matches, classic feuds.
And the record stands for as long as you like.
But you never become WWE or world champion of any kind.

- Being a one time transitional WWE Champion, title reign last for about a month or two with no more than one successful title defense. You can win some other midcard titles but not any other world championship.

What choice do you make ?:jbhmm:
thats the thread right there, surprised this has multiple pages as there really isnt a hard choice here at all

I'm about my money.

I'll take being the one time transitional World Champ winning the title at WM main event and dropping it at the May/June PPV. Why, because I'll make more money from Headlining PPV's and from that WM then I would as a IC champ for 15 months, where I maybe main event the odd Raw/SD here or there. Having the exposure of being a World champ will give me more avenues to make more money and expand my profile, over the course of my career.

Once you leave the WWE, I'll say being a former WWE champ even for the one time, would bring in more money from other promoters than being the longest reigning IC champ.

If your main goal isn't to be World Champion and potentially headline WM, then why you wrestling?

1 time WWE Champ, I get a successful title defense, AND I can win other titles (potentially a career grand slam)?

Why is this even a discussion bruh? The choice is simple.

Basically being what Nakamura was in NJPW or be Jack Swagger?

Seriously?

Is this a serious question?

Like, dudes say they'd rather being world champ as if Jack Swagger would command more on the indy circuit than a prime Scott Hall or Honky Tonk.
