1991, easily. I loved the 90’s. I was a kid back then, but i feel like society has gotten weird. 1990s had better music, easier to get jobs that matched COL a lot better, people had to actually talk to each other, things were cheaper, people weren’t as obese and fat, there was no social media, box braids, feel like black culture was sort of limited to just us, whites didn’t have the same access to it. No trannies, or trump, college wasn’t as expensive, a degree felt more useful, people probably weren’t as addicted to porn, more great family sitcoms, “snick” on Friday nights, etc etc.

Some neighborhoods have gained white people and others have lost. Canarsie was majority white in 1990, and now it's one of the blackest neighborhoods in NYC





Those Mexicans are expanding but I still see a ton of Puerto Rican people and Puerto Rican flags when I hang out in Bushwick.

On the flip side, Bensonhurst, Midwood, Kensington, Gravesend, Bath Beach, Sheepshead Bay, Bay Ridge, etc. were all whiter back then.

It's not that they're more black, but they are still less white (because of Asians and Latinos)
